Energetic Nature Learning Community
At the Energetic Nature Learning Community, we offer dynamic programs designed to reconnect children with nature and inspire a lifelong love for learning. Using Human Design to honor each child’s unique energy, our programs blend outdoor education with experiential play, tailored to meet the needs of every learner.
Rewilding Program (Ages 5+)
Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday
Time: 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
A nature- and energy-based learning experience blending Human Design awareness with hands-on ecology. Children learn through exploration, creativity, and direct connection with the land.
This program is offered through Eco Roots Sanctuary, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Participation is supported through monthly minimum donations that directly fund programming, materials, land stewardship, and access to nature-based education.
Suggested Minimum Monthly Donations:
• $144 per month for one child
• $244 per month for two children
• $344 minimum per month for three or more children
These donations help sustain the learning environment, provide materials and tools, support conservation efforts, and ensure long-term access to land-based education for our community.
The Wild Ones – Toddler Program (Ages 2–5)
Day: Thursday
Time: 10:00 AM – 11:30 AM
The Wild Ones is a playful, nature-based toddler program that weaves sensory exploration, creative learning, and gentle energetic awareness. Children explore the outdoors, build early skills, and connect with the land in a safe and nurturing environment.
This program is offered through Eco Roots Sanctuary, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Participation is supported through monthly minimum donations that help provide materials, snacks, nature tools, and resources needed to support an engaging learning space.
Suggested Minimum Monthly Donations:
• $80 per month for one child
• $25 per month per additional sibling
Donations support weekly materials, snacks, nature tools, and the care of the learning environment.
Our programs are rooted in the wisdom of Growing Up WILD, Aquatic WILD, and Project Learning Tree, empowering children to learn through nature while building a deeper understanding of themselves and the world around them.
🌿 Our Learning Rhythm
The Energetic Nature Learning Community at EcoRoots Sanctuary
At EcoRoots Sanctuary, we intentionally align our learning cycles with Florida’s natural rhythms, rather than the traditional industrial school calendar.
Florida is a subtropical environment. The land here moves differently — through heat, rain, growth, rest, and renewal. Rather than pushing against these cycles, we listen to the land and learn with it.
Our year is designed around periods of deep engagement followed by intentional rest, mirroring how healthy ecosystems function in nature.
Our Annual Cycle
Spring Term (February – May)
This is our primary learning season. Cooler temperatures, active ecosystems, and longer outdoor days make this the ideal time for exploration, movement, and immersive, land-based learning.
Summer Rest (June – July)
Florida’s peak heat and storm season. During this time, the land itself slows, conserves energy, and adapts. We rest, travel, integrate, and allow space for unstructured play and family rhythm.
Fall Term (August – November)
A second learning season focused on growth, stewardship, leadership, and community connection. We conclude the term with a family campout, celebrating learning through shared experience on the land.
Winter Rest (December – January)
The inward season. A time for reflection, integration, storytelling, and restoration before the next cycle begins.

Together, we bring free nature-based education to families during major community and Main Street events including:
- Cookies & Cocoa
- Hometown Holidays
- Harvest Festival
- Seasonal markets and community celebrations
At every event, Eco Roots hosts interactive kid stations right outside Living Boho, helping families enjoy hands-on nature learning while they shop.
Inside the shop, Living Boho Apothecary serves as Eco Roots Sanctuary’s official Donation Hub, where community members can drop off art supplies, nature tools, craft materials, and other items that support our programs.
This partnership is supported by Cristina Barreto, Master Clinical Herbalist and owner of Living Boho. She believes deeply in community, nature education, and healing — and her support helps Eco Roots grow new programs throughout Lake County.
